Type your pattern, paste your test string, see every match highlighted live

Enter a regular expression in the Pattern field — syntax errors are flagged the moment you stop typing. Paste the text you want to search in the Test String area and matches light up instantly. Six flag checkboxes sit above the panels: g (global), i (case-insensitive), m (multiline), s (dotAll), u (Unicode), y (sticky). Turn on global to see every match counted; turn it off to stop after the first. The Stats panel shows total match count, capture groups for each match, and the character position and length of each hit.

Six ready-made example patterns to start from

The example buttons in the panel load a working pattern and a matching test string together — Email, Phone, URL, IP Address, Date, and Hex Color. They're there so you can study a real working pattern before writing your own. Once your pattern is working, copy it from the Pattern field and drop it straight into your code.
