Cookie Policy
What cookies BasicApps uses, why, and how to control them.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves to your browser when you visit. They let the site remember things between page loads — like your preferences or whether you've already dismissed a notice.
Cookies can't run programs, access other files on your computer, or cause harm. They're just text. But they can be used to track your browsing behaviour across sites, which is why transparency about them matters.
What We Use Cookies For
BasicApps uses cookies for three things:
Site Functionality
Basic session cookies keep the site working properly as you move between pages and use tools. These are short-lived and contain no personal data.
Duration: Session (cleared when you close the browser)
Analytics — Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — which tools get used most, where visitors come from, how long they stay. All data is anonymised. We don't see your name, email, or any identifying information.
Provider: Google LLC — Google Privacy Policy
Duration: Up to 2 years
Advertising — Google AdSense
BasicApps displays ads through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to show ads that are more relevant to you, based on your browsing history across sites. These are Google's cookies, not ours — we don't see or control the data they collect. If you're in the EU/EEA, Google will ask for your consent before setting advertising cookies.
Provider: Google LLC — Google Ads Policy
Duration: Up to 13 months (set by Google)
How to Control Cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Keep in mind that blocking all cookies may break parts of the site.
Browser Settings
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
Opt Out of Google Advertising Cookies
You can opt out of Google's personalised ads at google.com/settings/ads or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Your Consent
When you first visit BasicApps, a cookie consent banner gives you the choice to accept or decline non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising). Only strictly necessary cookies are active before you make a choice. You can change your preference at any time by adjusting your browser settings or using the opt-out links above.
Updates to This Policy
If we change how we use cookies, we'll update this page and revise the date below. Check back here if you want to see what's changed.
