DPI and image quality
Resolution runs from 72 DPI to 600 DPI in preset steps. 72–96 DPI is screen-optimised and produces small files. 150 DPI covers most web and email uses. 300 DPI meets standard print requirements. 600 DPI is for reproduction work where fine detail matters. Higher DPI multiplies file size roughly as the square of the scale factor — a 300 DPI image is roughly four times larger than a 150 DPI image of the same page.
For portal uploads with a KB limit: 150 DPI at standard JPEG quality is usually under 200 KB for a typical A4 page. If a page has dense charts or photographs, try 96 DPI first and check whether the text is still legible at your intended viewing size.
Page selection
Convert all pages or enter a comma-separated list of page numbers and ranges — e.g., 1, 3, 5–8. Each page becomes a separate .jpg file. When more than one page is converted, the download is a ZIP archive; a single page downloads directly as a .jpg.
Filename pattern
Output files are named after the source PDF with a zero-padded page index — report_page_001.jpg, report_page_002.jpg — so alphabetical sort order matches reading order. This matters if you’re importing the images into a presentation or document and want them in sequence without manual renaming.
