Format minified JSON back to readable code in one click

Paste any JSON — minified into a single line or partially indented — into the left panel. Pick your indent size from the options above: 2 spaces is the most common, 4 spaces suits teams that prefer wider nesting, and tab works for projects that enforce tab indentation in their linter config. Click Format and the output panel shows the result with every key on its own line and every nested level properly indented. A small stats bar below shows character count, number of keys, objects, arrays, and nesting depth.

Sort Keys and the Minify button in the same toolbar

Sort Keys is useful when you're comparing two JSON blobs and want alphabetical ordering to make diffs cleaner. The Minify button in the same toolbar compresses the output back to a single line if you only needed to inspect the structure and now want to deploy it. Six example JSON payloads — ranging from a simple flat object to a product array — let you see a formatted result immediately without bringing your own data.
