(or drag them here)
Upload a PDF and the converter extracts text content, detects chapter boundaries from heading structure, and writes a reflowable EPUB 3 file. Unlike a fixed-layout PDF, the output reflows to fit any screen width — font size, line spacing, and column width adapt to whatever reading app and device the recipient uses.
PDFs that convert well vs. those that don’t
Text-heavy documents with clear heading hierarchies — textbooks, reports, novels, academic papers — convert accurately. The heading structure becomes chapter navigation in the EPUB. PDFs that are primarily images (scans), have complex multi-column magazine layouts, or rely heavily on tables and sidebars will produce an EPUB that’s functional but awkward — columns collapse, floated elements land in unexpected spots, tables simplify. Run the PDF through OCR first if it’s a scan; that won’t fix layout issues but it makes the text selectable for the extractor.
What is preserved
- Headings map to EPUB chapter navigation entries.
- Inline images are embedded at a screen-appropriate resolution.
- Hyperlinks in the source PDF remain active.
Compatibility
Output is EPUB 3, readable on Kindle (via Send to Kindle), Kobo, Apple Books, Adobe Digital Editions, and any app supporting the EPUB standard. No DRM is applied — the file opens without a password.
